Asante Kotoko National Supporters Chairman Solomon Ofosu Ware has issued a firm warning to supporters and regional executives following a tense moment involving Zagidibogidi at the club’s 2026 National Supporters Delegates Congress.
The congress, which was held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, brought together delegates, regional circle chairmen, executives and representatives of the various Asante Kotoko supporters’ groups.
According to an account by BornAgain Sports, the incident occurred when Chairman Solomon Ofosu Ware was addressing the gathering and announced details about the club’s new 2026/2027 replica jersey, including its reported selling price of GH¢350.00.
While Chairman Ofosu Ware was speaking, he reportedly noticed Zagidibogidi talking. The Chairman then confronted him, asking, “What’s your problem?” BornAgain Sports reports that the National Supporters Chairman was visibly unhappy with the situation, particularly with the tone of the interaction.
Chairman Ofosu Ware subsequently used the incident to send a broader message to the leadership and members of the various supporters’ circles.
He instructed the regional circle chairmen and their executives to ensure that members behaved appropriately during official meetings and gatherings. According to BornAgain Sports, he emphasized that discipline must begin within the supporters’ own structures before problems are allowed to extend beyond them.
“We will discipline ourselves here before it goes outside,” Chairman Ofosu Ware reportedly told the gathering.
He further stressed the importance of respect whenever he is addressing supporters. In a particularly firm declaration, the Chairman reportedly said that when he is speaking, nobody should talk, regardless of the person’s age.
He reportedly emphasized that even someone older than him must show respect and allow him to speak when he has the floor.
The incident quickly became one of the notable moments from the congress, with Chairman Ofosu Ware using the exchange to reinforce his position on discipline, order and respect within the Asante Kotoko supporters’ fraternity.
His message was directed not only at Zagidibogidi but also at regional leaders and supporters generally, as he called on executives to take responsibility for the conduct of their members.
The congress also featured discussions surrounding the club and its supporters, including the newly introduced 2026/2027 replica jersey.
For Chairman Solomon Ofosu Ware, however, the reported exchange served as an opportunity to make his expectations clear: discipline and respect must remain central to the activities of the Asante Kotoko supporters’ movement.
