Kylian Mbappé has expressed strong confidence in his chances of winning the Ballon d’Or, insisting that he believes the current year could be the right time for him to claim the prestigious individual award.
The Real Madrid forward made the comments during an interview with Diario AS, where he explained that his performances on the pitch should speak louder than anything he says about his ambitions.
“In my opinion, this is a good year to win the Ballon d’Or,” Mbappé said, underlining his belief that his performances have put him in contention for the honour.

“My feet are my best advocates, more so than anything I might say! I believe this can be the right time to win,” he added.
Mbappé also made it clear that his ambition goes beyond personal recognition. The French superstar wants the Ballon d’Or to return to Real Madrid and be celebrated by the club’s supporters at the Santiago Bernabéu.
“I really want the Ballon d’Or to return to Real Madrid,” Mbappé stated.
“It needs to come back to the Bernabéu, to the Madridistas, to return for all those people and so give them something to be excited about. The Madrid fans deserve it more than anyone.”
Since joining Real Madrid, Mbappé has carried significant expectations as one of the club’s leading attacking players. His goals, performances and influence in major matches have placed him among the players regularly discussed in connection with football’s biggest individual prizes.
Winning the Ballon d’Or would represent a major personal milestone for Mbappé and would also add another prestigious chapter to his career at Real Madrid. The award has a long association with the Spanish giants, with several of the club’s legendary players having previously claimed the honour.
Mbappé’s comments show that he is not hiding his ambition. Rather than relying on words, however, he believes his performances will ultimately determine whether he can achieve his objective.
For now, the French forward will continue focusing on his performances for Real Madrid as the Ballon d’Or race develops.
