With both sides looking to make progress early in the league campaign, the encounter presents another opportunity for the Porcupine Warriors to pick up valuable points away from home.
Kotoko’s decision to travel in stages, first from Kumasi to Asanco before continuing towards Samreboi, is part of the team’s arrangements ahead of the fixture.
The travelling squad also gives an indication of the players available to the technical team for the match, although the final starting XI will only be determined by the coaching staff before kick-off.
FC Samartex will have home advantage when the two teams meet in Samreboi, while Kotoko will be hoping their preparations and journey arrangements help them produce a strong performance on the road.
For Asante Kotoko supporters, attention will now turn to the team’s arrival in Samreboi, the final preparations and the eventual starting lineup for the Week 3 clash.
The Porcupine Warriors will be aiming to make the trip worthwhile by returning from Samreboi with a positive result as their Ghana Premier League campaign continues.
