OFFICIAL: Fury and Joshua Set for December 11 Heavyweight Showdown

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will finally settle their long-running rivalry in the boxing ring after their highly anticipated heavyweight showdown was officially confirmed for December 11, 2026.

The all-British clash will take place at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, with the event set to be streamed live globally on Netflix. The announcement brings an end to years of speculation, negotiations and several failed attempts to put the fight together.

Fury and Joshua are two of the most recognizable British heavyweight boxers of their generation, but despite their careers overlapping for more than a decade, they have never faced each other professionally.

Fury enters the contest with a professional record of 36 wins, two defeats and one draw, including 25 victories by knockout. Joshua, meanwhile, has recorded 30 wins and four defeats, with 27 of his victories coming inside the distance.

Both fighters have previously held multiple heavyweight world titles and have shared the spotlight at the top level of the division for many years. Their meeting on December 11 will therefore be the first time the two former champions step into the ring against each other.

The venue was one of the major issues during negotiations, with discussions previously involving locations in both the United Kingdom and the United States. The decision to stage the contest in Cardiff means the long-awaited fight will take place on British soil.

Principality Stadium, which has a capacity of around 80,000 and a retractable roof, has previously hosted major boxing events involving Joshua. The British heavyweight fought Carlos Takam and Joseph Parker at the venue when it was known as the Millennium Stadium.

The fight will be promoted in collaboration with The Ring and Dana White, while Netflix will provide the global broadcast. Further details about the undercard and exact start time are expected to be announced later.

Fury and Joshua are also scheduled to appear at a press conference in London on September 30 as preparations for the December showdown officially begin.

After years of waiting, negotiations and uncertainty, boxing fans now have a confirmed date. On December 11, Fury and Joshua will finally share the ring in one of the most anticipated heavyweight fights of recent years.
