Former Asante Kotoko National Circles Council (NCC) Chairman, Chairman K5, popularly known as Kwaku Amponsah, has called on the club’s supporters to return to the stadium in their numbers and give the team the support it needs.
Chairman K5 believes the lack of strong support at the stadium has affected the club in recent times and says supporters must wake up and take their rightful place in the progress of Asante Kotoko.

He argues that the club currently has the ingredients needed for success, including a strong Board, a good technical team led by Coach Eric Tinkler, and a promising playing squad.
Chairman K5 also urged Kotoko supporters to stop insulting players, coaches, directors and other officials whenever results do not go their way.
He believes criticism is necessary in football, but insults and personal attacks do not help the club and can instead create unnecessary tension around the team.
The former NCC Chairman also appealed to the media to reduce what he considers unnecessary negativity in their coverage of Asante Kotoko.
He said media personalities have an important role to play in shaping the mindset of supporters and should therefore be careful about the messages they put across on radio and other platforms.
Chairman K5 specifically mentioned comments attributed to Sear Gyan, questioning the decision to go on radio to predict that Kotoko would lose a match.
He believes such comments can negatively influence supporters and create an unhealthy atmosphere around the club.
According to him, the media should rather contribute to building confidence and unity around the club while still maintaining the right to offer constructive criticism.
Chairman K5 also praised the current Asante Kotoko Board for the work being done at the club, particularly the development of the Adako Jachie project.

He commended the Board for the improvements to the training pitches and other infrastructure at the training grounds, describing the progress as an important step in the development of the club.
He also praised Supporters Chairman Solomon Ofosu Ware for his contribution towards the construction of the wall around the training grounds.
Chairman K5 believes these developments deserve recognition and says supporters should appreciate the efforts being made behind the scenes to improve the club.
He has therefore called for greater unity among the Board, technical team, players, supporters and the media.
