Asante Kotoko SC will welcome Aduana Stars to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in a highly anticipated Ghana Premier League Match Week 4 encounter.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 3:00 PM, with both clubs expected to attract a strong crowd for the important league fixture.
Ahead of the game, supporters have been given an added incentive to make their way to the stadium, with the Popular Stand set to be free for fans wearing red Kotoko jerseys or red shirts.
According to the match-day information, supporters who want to enjoy the free entry must be dressed in red, with the condition that the shirt must not be a foreign football club jersey. This means Kotoko fans can turn up in their club jerseys or other appropriate red shirts and gain access to the Popular Stand without paying an entrance fee.
Fans who prefer other seating options will also have different ticket categories available. VIP tickets will cost GH¢100, while Center Line tickets will be sold for GH¢30.
The decision is expected to encourage more supporters to attend the fixture and create a lively atmosphere at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The history between the two sides at Kotoko’s home ground also adds an interesting dimension to Sunday’s encounter.
According to the previous meetings displayed on the Ghana Premier League graphic, Kotoko have recorded two wins, two draws and one defeat in their last five home league games against Aduana Stars.
Kotoko defeated Aduana Stars 2-1 in the 2022/23 season, before recording consecutive 1-0 victories in the 2023/24 and 2024/25 campaigns.
The other two meetings ended in draws and a defeat for Kotoko. Aduana Stars won 1-0 in the 2020/21 season, while the 2021/22 encounter ended 1-1.
With that history in mind, Sunday’s fixture promises another competitive contest between two of Ghana’s established clubs.
Kotoko supporters are therefore being encouraged not to sit at home but to come to the stadium, support their team and enjoy the match-day experience.
Don’t just come to watch the game! come to the stadium, support Kotoko, meet fellow supporters and have fun.
The Baba Yara Sports Stadium is expected to provide a vibrant setting as Asante Kotoko look to make their home advantage count against Aduana Stars.
